Quick Start Guides

  • How to use the Maddle manual pump?

    1.  Make sure the pump’s air intake valve located under the handle is closed. This will allow the pump to inflate during both up and down motion.
    2. Connect the hose to the OUT connector located underneath the handle. Use the pump for a few strokes to see if the pump seems to blow air. If it seems to suck air in, the hose is connected to the IN side, and you need switch the hose to the other side of the handle (OUT).
    3. Connect the pump’s hose to the air valve by pressing down and twisting the hose in a clockwise direction.
    4. Begin inflating the board using the handle in an up/down motion. It will be quite a workout to inflate your board, it is normal to feel a bit of muscle pain or fatigue by the time the board is fully inflated.
    5. **Please note that even though the board will appear rock solid visually, the pump will not show a reading until you reach about 7 PSI**
      a. The pump is not defective, you just have to keep going until the board is filled up to that level. Afterwards, you will be able to get a reading on the gauge.
    6. Midway through inflation, or when you find yourself having difficulty inflating the board, twist open the air intake valve located at the top of the pump’s air chamber to turn it from double action (pushes air on the way up or down) to single action (pushes air on the way down only. This is usually recommended after 9 to 10 PSI.
    7. Keep pumping until your board reaches the recommended pressure level reading of 15 PSI.
    8. While we use high quality valves that are rated to go up to 20 PSI, we recommend inflating your Maddle from 15 to 18 PSI.
Most users will not see any differences between 15 PSI and 18 PSI, and 15 PSI will give you a very rigid feeling, without coming with additional pump time!
    9. Once the board is inflated to 15 PSI, remove the pump’s hose from the air valve by twisting the hose’s tip counterclockwise.
    10. Close the air valve cap by turning it clockwise.

Do not touch the piston in the center of the valve, otherwise you risk deflating your board after all of your hard work!

  • How to use the electric pump?

Powerful Electric Pump (Max capacity - 20 PSI) :

    1. Connect the electric pump’s electrical cord to your car’s 12V outtake. If you wish to use your electric pump on the go, you may purchase the Maddle Portable 12V battery.
    2. Make sure the air hose is connected to the INFLATE side of the electric pump to inflate.
    3. Remove the valve cap of your maddle in a clockwise motion.
    4. Make sure the valve is closed (the pin is in UP position).
    5. Connect the electric pump’s air hose tip to the air valve by pressing down and twisting in a clockwise direction.
    6. Set the desired air pressure between 15 PSI - 18 PSI.
    7. Turn on the pump.
    8. Keep inflating until your board reaches a desired pressure level reading. The pump should stop by itself once fully inflated.
    9. You will hear a loud compressor noise once the board appears inflated initially. This is normal, the pump is not broken. The compressor is needed to increase the internal pressure to the required level.
**For safety and usage, make sure the board is inflated to 15 PSI rather than 1.5 PSI. :)
    10. Once the pump has stopped, disconnect the pump from the air valve by twisting in a counterclockwise motion
    11. Once the pump has stopped, disconnect the pump from the air valve by twisting in a counterclockwise motion.
    12. Close the air valve cap by turning it clockwise.

You may connect the air hose to the DEFLATE side of the electric pump to deflate your board in an opposite manner once you’re done using it.

Compact Electric Pump (Max capacity - 16 PSI):

Our compact electric pump (orange and black) works similarly.

You may follow the steps above taking in consideration it does not have a deflate function and is capped at 16 PSI.

  • How to Stand Up Paddle Board

Inflatable paddle boards are the perfect type of board to learn how to stand up paddleboard (SUP) on as they’re known to be more forgiving than hard boards. Learn How to Stand up Paddle Board (SUP)

  • How to use your paddle?

    1. Insert the middle section of the Maddle Paddle in the lower section.
    2. Press on the metallic button to insert the middle section all the way in the lower section. Make sure
the metallic button pops out of the hole in the lower section. You should hear a clicking sound to know it is properly in place.
    3. Make sure the paddle’s blade is curved away from the user when setting up your paddle and at all
      times when using it.
    4. Insert the handle (upper) section of your Maddle Paddle into the mid-section. Make sure the handle is angled away from the user. The ridge along the length of the upper part will prevent the handle from turning during usage.
    5. While standing up, set the tip of your Maddle Paddle on the ground. Adjust your Maddle Paddle’s length by pulling on the upper part of your Maddle Paddle. Raise your arm up and fold your wrist towards the front. Your wrist should fall over the t-grip (handle) while the paddle is touching the
      ground.
    6. Close the quick-release mechanism on the upper end of the middle part to lock desired height.
    7. If the lock is loose, open the quick-release mechanism and turn the clip clockwise and close it. Repeat this process until it is properly snug. If you cannot close it because it is too tight, turn the clip counterclockwise.
